St Paul’s Rock Track – Whangaroa

Climb to the summit of St Paul’s Rock for breathtaking panoramic views across Whangaroa Harbour, its sheltered waterways, forested headlands and dramatic volcanic formations.

Twin Coast Cycle Trail

One of New Zealand’s great rides, the Twin Coast Cycle Trail links the Bay of Islands with the Hokianga Harbour. Following historic routes through forest, farmland, and small communities, it offers a relaxed, scenic journey that can be enjoyed in sections or as a multi-day adventure. Set on the tranquil Kerikeri Inlet, the Kerikeri Cruising Club offers a relaxed waterfront experience. Visitors can enjoy sailing activity, estuary views, a restaurant and bar and a welcoming local atmosphere—making it a great place to unwind and experience Kerikeri's connection to the Bay of Islands. Matauri Bay

A spectacular coastal walk just a short drive from Kerikeri, Matauri Bay combines golden sand, clear water, and powerful history. Overlooking the Cavalli Islands and the resting place of the Rainbow Warrior, it offers swimming, walking, and panoramic views in one of Northland’s most iconic seaside settings.

Waitangi Mountainbike Park

Located in Waitangi, approximately a 25-minute drive from Kerikeri, Waitangi Mountain Bike Park is one of Northland’s premier outdoor attractions. With more than 50km of professionally built trails for beginners, families and experienced riders, it’s an exhilarating way to experience the forests and natural beauty of the Bay of Islands.

Taronui Bay Recreation Reserve Track
