The Landing is a single‑estate vineyard and winery set on a historic coastal peninsula in the Bay of Islands. With more than two centuries of connection to New Zealand’s early winemaking story, the estate produces wines of depth, purity and mineral character from its 14‑hectare vineyard, framed by native forest and restored wetlands.
Sheltered by rolling hills and cooled by sea breezes, the vineyard’s position shapes wines that are honest expressions of place. Each vintage reflects the land and the people who have cared for it across generations.
The Landing’s winery and Tasting Room are open by private appointment, offering visitors an intimate way to experience the beauty and spirit of the property. Designed by Cheshire Architects and opened in 2020, the Tasting Room is a simple, elegant space built with sustainability at its core. Guests can enjoy guided tastings paired with seasonal dishes prepared by The Landing’s head chef, using produce from the estate’s gardens and neighbouring growers. Together, the wines, food and landscape create a distinctive Bay of Islands experience.
The estate is also home to four secluded luxury residences. With private beaches, walking tracks and significant cultural sites nearby, The Landing offers an immersive retreat where exceptional wine, warm hospitality and a deep connection to the land come together. Visits are by appointment only.
