Mahoe Cheese is set in the heart of rural Bay of Islands and produces some of New Zealand’s most outstanding artisan cheeses.
Our family run operation started by Anna and Bob 40 years ago, now boasts an impressive range of cheese along with many awards, with their sons continuing the farming and cheesemaking legacy.
We specialise in Dutch style cheeses from a creamy gouda, cumin gouda, to our award winning Very old Edam. As well as this we make a mouth-watering Blue, and a traditionally made range of fresh products, including Feta, Greek yoghurt and Quark.
Customers visiting our farm store are welcome to sample our cheeses, and peruse our selection of local artisan pickles, preserves, Olive oils, sausages and salamis.
You can also find our stall at the Kerikeri Farmers market on a Sunday morning in town.
