Education in Kerikeri

for all ages

Schooling dates back to Febuary 1823 when James Kemp, along with James Shepherd, taught Maori boys in a barn at the Kerikeri Mission station. By 1824 a building designed to be used both as school and chapel had been built and opened on the 19th April. Education today is well catered for.
